To be quite honest, there's nothing you can do.She was at least upfront with you about not wanting to get into a relationship. Now she contacts you wanting an explanation of why you like her supposedly after some guy dumps her.
My take is that her ego was bruised when she got dumped so she reached out to you for comfort. To make her feel better about herself. She hasn't made it clear that she liked you or led you on but she did do just "enough" to keep you interested. There's no other reason for her to contact you so late just because she was "curious".
What you need to understand is that she knows you like her. There's nothing else you have to do to convince her, so honestly you would be wasting your time chasing her or doing things to "convince" her. But really what you're trying to do is convince her to get into some type of relationship. That's not going to work.
Leave her be and go do your own thing. If she's interested, let her take initiative because she already knows where you stand.

Is She Interested? Should I Still Pursue Her?

I met a girl a few weeks ago at a gallery opening. So that you get a proper picture of the situation, I should mention there is a considerable age difference. I'm older. We seemed to hit it off and added each other on Facebook. A few days later I sent her some info on an artistic project of mine. She responded and thanked me. A couple of days later I sent her a message saying that I enjoyed talking to her, and would like to have lunch. About a day later she said that would be great. On valentine's day I wished her a Happy Valentine's day. She thanked me and said happy valentine's as well.
A couple of days later, I asked her if she wanted to go to lunch that week.
A day later she responded that at her job they don't really take lunch. Everyone works through it. She said she would be happy to meet during the weekend or for a cup of coffee before work.
I decided to just ask her for dinner on a Saturday. But since her last message was on Friday, I thought one day's notice would not be sufficient, so I decided to wait until Sunday, two days after her last message, to ask her for dinner for the following Saturday.
So I left her the message, and 3 days passed and still no response. I was certain I had been ignored and rejected. On the 4th day she finally replied, and apologized because she only just saw my message. She said she had dinner plans for Saturday, and asked if we could do it another day. She said she could meet after work.
Does it sound like I have a shot?
I think so.. Now its depends on you.. when will you go to meet her that time you notice her response towards you so you can yourself imagine that she will interested in you or not.. Because she is cooperating you, but because of her job and time also doesn't match that's why you sit can mot meet her so I thing there will be a chance for you so just go ahead... 5 Big Reasons You're Still Single
Maybe you think the only people who deserve love have already found it. Want to change your relationship status? The first step is to know why you can't seem to find love. You've read all the magazines and the top dating tips, but at the end of the day, you haven't found the answers to why you're still single. After years of coaching clients and running a dating service, I've found five reasons why you're stuck being single.
1. Your love life is not your top priority. You think about dating here and there, but you are not going out on dates regularly. You spend time thinking about work, going to gym, you say you're busy, but really you're not prioritizing this part of your life. If you met an amazing guy today you would spend hours, maybe even days with him so why not put some of this time into finding him?

You think to yourself, "Oh, she's so pretty and nice she deserves a great guy." But so do you! You just have to believe it and know what you have to offer. There is someone out there looking for the exact qualities you have, you just don't know how to show them off.
More from YourTango: Can You Date In The Modern World?3. You're looking for qualities in a man instead of qualities of the relationship. Stop making a never-ending list of qualities to look for in a guy. What's important is the relationship. Think of what you want in a relationship or with your partner, not just the qualities of that person. Keep reading...

I blew it, but... I think I still got a shot. How should I play this?
Background:Went on a blind date that was setup through friends of ours (by my good buddy and her girlfriend).
December 29th:
I picked her up at her place and we went downtown for drinks (5 hours-ish). At the end of the date on the way back to the car we were holding hands. We had a great time, have a lot in common, and genuinely enjoyed each other's company. She gave me a quick tour of her condo before I headed home. At her place we chatted, laughed and had some touchy feely moments. After about 30 minutes we ended with a very awkward/funny quick kiss and I headed home. Before I left we discussed that a 2nd date was a must and that I should contact her a week or so to set it up as she would be out of town from January 1st until January 8th.
The following evening:
She told me on the date she didn't have plans for New Years and she was most likely not going out. So being the idiot that I am, I sent her a text with something along the lines of... "Hey, I usually try to stick to the whole dating rules thing, but given the fact its New Years, It be great to spend tomorrow evening with you. If you don't already have plans, interested?"
I got no reply
I left it alone and didn't follow up with anything further about the matter.
So, naturally thinking of every single possibility of why I didn't get a reply (maybe she didn't get my text <--- dumb), my desperation got the better of me again today (January 1st), and I sent her one text at noon today with something humorous that related to a conversation we had. I ended with Happy New Year and enjoy your trip.
I got no reply... until 8pm tonight
She replied with: Hi I just saw this didn't send
Followed by: Hi, I had a good time last night. I actually have plans with a couple girl friends tomorrow night and ill be headed out to (trip destination).
Followed by: Happy New Year!
So...
Not sure if I'm buying the excuse... but, I don't care.
What do I now? I may still have a shot here. I need to ditch the desperation, thats pretty obvious.
How should I play this?
