A girl start a conservation with me?

Love and Relationship Advice Forum

Hello! I am a freshman at a fairly large University, and I am a shy guy, and a I was sitting by myself in our café, where I usually sit, and a girl ask if she can sit beside me and she start to ask me my name, where I am from, etc. I have seen her around, in halls, the café and the gym and all every time she smiled at me. She actually said that she has wanted to talk to me for a while? Also she wants to eat lunch with me? What does all this mean? Thank you!
It doesn't mean anything yet, it could be that she just simply wants to be friends.
Source: My ex also wanted to meet a blonde dude she always had seen walking in the hall of school.
Once she starts to flirt or gives obvious hints, that's when you know she's really into you.
Go out with her and spend some casual time. If she likes you more then a friend, she will give you signs that you will easily see. Then you could ask her out on a real date, and if she is into you that way, she will surely accept. Good luck.
Yeah If you don't mind then ask her out, spend time with her.. And if you feel that she likes you then its good for you.. Just let it be go..
Well, it's very obvious she has an attraction to you. She probably doesn't know why yet, but she WANTS to know. So, the best thing for you to do is ask her to go somewhere - maybe to eat lunch on campus, but make it simple, and make it something that you can both actually talk. Be yourself. Don't be nervous - she's just as nervous as you are and is curious.

The New Year Boom: Why You Should Start Online Dating Now

online dating Everyone's doing it. Looking for your main squeeze? Here's why online dating registration peaks this week.

If you're looking for love, there's no time like the present. Seriously. Right now is the time to get yourself up off the couch, and head directly to the closest computer. It doesn't matter if the computer doesn't belong to you! It's just imperative that, if you're single and want to close this chapter of your life by getting partnered up, you set up an online profile now. Right this very second!

According to stats, it's the week between Christmas and New Year's that singles take to online dating sites the most in the hopes of finding the one. Why this particular time of year?

More from YourTango: Party Time: How To Make Your New Year's Eve Makeup Last All Night

As psychologist Dr. Wiebke Neberich explains, "During the holiday singles get a chance to truly consider their private lives. This motivation is reinforced by Christmas, which in celebrating love and the family rekindles people's interest in finding a solid partnership. It's unsurprising that so many singles put their New Year's resolution into practice by trying online dating."

Well, of course! Who doesn't want to try to procure someone to kiss on New Year's Eve, or get the chance to add yet another person to their already-long list of gifts to buy next Christmas? Whatever the individual reason may be, Elite Singles, a UK online dating service, found a 35 percent rise in new memberships after Christmas with them "peaking around the New Year and slowly returning to normal in January."

While the infographic only includes data from Europe, the same holds true for those singles living in the States. According to Today, Match.com "sees a 25 to 30 percent increase in new members registrations between Dec. 26 and Feb. 14," with the ultimate peak on January 2nd.

It's also estimated that with the economy on the up swing, more and more singles are looking for love as their focus on money becomes a little less necessary than it has been in the past few years. If last year the increase of singles getting online and looking for love was 35 percent, then there's no telling how much more it will rise this year. Forty percent? Forty-five percent? Maybe even a 50 percent rise that will mean a 50 percent greater chance of you getting lucky playing the online dating game! Of course, these numbers are just speculation on the part of a woman who is bad at math, but we do know for sure that the number is bound to increase, and singles of the world can only benefit from it.

Not to sound like your hometown low-budget car dealership commercial, but what are you waiting for? It's not very likely that love is going to show up at your door while you're sitting on the couch in your pajamas watching The Princess Bride for the millionth time, so do something about it. Get online, weed through the creeps, because there always are some, and find your main squeeze now. Everyone else is doing it this time of year, so succumb to peer pressure on this one. It's one of the few times where it's cool to do so.

Fall Back Into Dating & Kick Start Your Search For Love

Dating Coach Advice: Start Looking For Love This Fall Ready for a relationship? Bring it on! The end of summer is the perfect time to start seriously dating again.

As summer winds down and the air turns a little chillier, our routines change, too. We find ourselves cozying into the back-to-school and back-to-work mode. There is a sense that we have an infinite amount of time to get things done before the November and December holidays — with time allowed for autumnal activities like apple picking and pumpkin carving. But be honest: is "finding love" high in your priority list? Is it even on the list at all?

The summer was fun with vacations and long weekends but if it didn't bring you a partnership, you may have gotten discouraged. You may have been putting off doing the work required to meet dates and a long term relationship or even marriage. But you should consider putting the effort in: wouldn't it be nice to find someone special in your life for the holidays this year and beyond?

Now it's time to get serious and make a commitment to start dating and getting yourself out there again. I recommend you create a dating plan to find someone special. My clients follow three steps to meet new people and have great success in finding love. Create your own dating plan with these simple steps and see who comes your way.

1. Go Back Online!
You've tried it before. Yes, I know it can be frustrating and tiresome. However, two-thirds of my clients have found someone special through online dating. Current esearch says that one in five marriages come from online dating (Recently I've estimated one out of three). So my suggestion is to re-think your strategy. Pick a new site or revamp your profile on a site you have tried before. September is a great time to go back online: you are in a different place in your life and your results may not only be different, but better. I recommend you make time for this endeavor.

2. Join Two To Three New Groups
After the summer break, men and women will be feeling the urge to settle down and looking for love again. Why not join two or three new groups or clubs — pick a group that you're interested in, but haven't yet tried. You'll meet people with things in common, but who aren't the "same old" crew. You'll see I didn't say join 10 groups! I feel it is better to see the same people time and time again so they get to know you. Try to avoid making snap judgments about your fellow group members. If you're having trouble finding an organization, Meetup.com is where it's at. Surf the single Meetups in your area and try a couple for several months. Meetup is all about building relationships over time  — that's why it's such a good option.

3. Ask To Be Introduced To Someone New
This is one of the top ways to find someone special — through other people! The best thing you can do is create what I call the 30 second info-mercial. This comprises the essence of who you are and who you're looking for: you want to highlight things that align with your core relationship values, your life goals and your must-haves. You may have to first tell your network that you are looking to meet someone special (perhaps they have assumed you gave up by now!), as well as some details about who you are looking for. You may be surprised that they do indeed know someone to introduce you to.

So if your goal is to find someone special for a serious relationship by the winter holidays, then I strongly suggest that you put some energy and focus on this endeavor and create a targeted dating plan.  Like anything in life, that which gets our attention has the best chance of moving forward with the desired results.

Want Love? Then Start Working On The 3 B's: Brain, Brand & Body!

Love Advice: Steps To Becoming Mrs. Right It's a true adage: You teach a man how to treat you by knowing your self worth. When love knocks at your door, be ready to answer!

[Editor's Note: Tony A. Gaskins, Jr. admits it: he was once a woman's nightmare disguised as the ideal dream man. So what changed him? Meeting the love of his life and now wife, Sheri. From her example, he came to recognize what it means to love and, in doing so, became a better man. He was born the son of a former pastor, raised in a small town where opportunities were limited, but since then he's been featured as a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show and is now one of the nation's top dating experts. Tony A. Gaskins, Jr. is also the author of several books, including Mrs. Right: A Woman's Guide To Becoming And Remaining A Wife. Here, he reveals his top five tips for finding lasting love.]

1. Heal Before You Deal: A lot of women have been hurt by someone in the past and still carry the pain into the present. It's very important that you heal before you deal. Every time you love, you must love like you've never been hurt before. If you can't do that, you're not ready to love again. It's unfair to punish your next man for the wrong doings of your ex-man. Remember that it's been taught that forgiveness is a gift you give yourself so forgive your ex and forgive yourself for falling for him. You didn't know he would take your kindness for a weakness and abuse your love but he did. Now you have to forgive and move on with your life without looking back.

2. Prepare For Love: In the preparation phase you must re-learn love. You must learn what real love is and what a real relationship is. Most people repeat the same cycles because in the interim they don't get new knowledge, so therefore the past repeats itself. If you take your mistakes and turn them into lessons by getting new knowledge, then you limit your chances of repeating the past. After you learn from your mistakes, you can move forward and embrace love without any hesitation because now you know what real love is and what a real relationship is.

3. Love Yourself: We often hear the term "love yourself" but usually we don't know what it really means. Loving yourself doesn't mean pampering yourself. Loving yourself means to invest in yourself. By investing I mean work on the 3 B's: the brain, the brand and the body. Feed your brain by getting all the knowledge you can about love and relationships and about yourself. Build your brand because you are more than just an employee on someone else's job. You are the CEO of your own life. Start a blog or write a book and have something to call your own. A man wants a woman that's the boss of her own life—not a woman that's waiting to be rescued. Work on your body because that is your temple. Make sure that you're working out regularly and eating properly so that you can be in the best possible shape. Men love women of all shapes and sizes, so get in your best shape so that when your husband sees you, he recognizes you.

4. Position Yourself: Get out and about and live life. Most women attract their husband when they are just living their life instead of searching for a man. You can't attract your husband by hiding in your cubicle at work and then dashing home to hide there. Get out and join a life group at church, or work in the community to help others. Do something that will get you out of the house. Don't be afraid to just walk around the mall by yourself to look around and treat yourself out to eat. A man loves to see a woman that doesn't mind being her own company. If you're always with a pack of other women, then your husband may never enter that gauntlet to ask you out.

5. Know Your Worth: This is how you seal the deal. If you know who you are and what you deserve, then a man will know as well. You teach a man how to treat you by what you allow, what you stop, and what you reinforce. Stand your ground when it comes to your self-worth and self-respect and he will reciprocate. When your husband meets you and then finds out that you truly love and respect yourself, he won't be able to let you go. It's the women that give up their ground and let a man walk all over them that end up single. A man wants and loves a challenge, and while he's trying to win that challenge he falls in love. Know your worth and love yourself.

Red Hot! 5 Reasons You Need To Start Dating A Ginger Now

Ginger Pride Walk: Reasons You Need To Start Dating A Ginger Now Redheads are having their own sexy revolution! Gingers get a bad rap, but here's why you need to snag one ASAP.

Admit it: When you think of gingers, you think of them as being pale and freckle-faced goofballs. Your mind automatically goes to famously freckled faces like Carrot Top, Pippi Longstocking or Alfred E. Newman of MAD Magazine. It's become something of a running joke in the dating scene that redheads are unattractive. Don't believe me? There's an actual documentary on being ginger and how much it sucks (And the fact that there's this weird fascination with gingers as medical anomalies probably doesn't help.)

But let me tell it to you straight: I think redheads (and the guys, in particular) get a bad rap. And I'm here to represent the devoted girlfriends (and boyfriends) of gingers everywhere. In fact, I think there's no better time than now to date a redhead.

When did we decide that redheads deserve any less lovin' than blondes or brunettes? Regardless, things finally seem to be turning around for them. Gingers: This is your moment!

Take Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, described as a "red hot" beauty and Buffy alum Michelle Trachtenburg is a "ravishing redhead". It's why ginger guys are finally taking the spotlight for a change: Damian Lewis is kicking terrorist butt and claiming hearts (as well as awards for his role in Homeland) along the way. Rupert Grint has gone from being long confined to the friend zone onscreen as Harry Potter's dorky sidekick to being the leading man in a steamy thriller. (Have you seen Cherrybomb, yet? I highly recommend it.) Even songwriter (and cute ginger in his own right) Ed Sheeran has gone from zero to hero. He admits to being flat-out denied record deals when producers told him that being "ginger wasn't a good 'marketing tool' for them." WOW harsh. But hey, now we're singing along to his lyrics on the radio, so who's the winner here?

I'm not exactly looking forward to the "carrot top" cracks, or the digs about my fiance and I having our own Weasley family. But I still say, give me a Harry over a William any day. Here's why red heads are so hot right now.

1. They're Less Likely To Get Prostate Cancer
Those ginger genes are keeping his health in check. A new study from the British Journal of Cancer revealed that natural red-headed men are 54 percent less likely to develop prostate cancer. Researchers think it might have to do with the way genes that dictate hair pigmentation also influence tumor development.

2. They Have More Sex
Thought blondes have more fun? Think again. Thanks to University of Hamburg for discovering that people with red hair are getting it on more than everyone else. That's right, according to their study, which looked at the sex lives and hair color of hundreds of women, our red hot friends are more sexually active than blondes and brunettes. The radiant color is thought to act like an aphrodisiac and signal youth and fertility.

3. Gray? No Way!
Rejoice — those vibrant strands will last your significant other a lifetime. Natural red tinted strands won't not gray like other colors. Instead, strands become golden blonde with age, and for some, they will turn to white. Red hair really is powerful.

4. They Have Strong Bones
You can bring your red-headed date to the beach or even to a gloomy climate, because either way, they'll be able to absorb more vitamin D than you — and everyone else around. According to experts from the ScotlandsDNA project, redheads have an advantage because they can create more of the essential, bone-strengthening vitamin in low-light conditions and they even receive the sun's benefits in just 10-15 minutes.

5. They're Here To Stay
Despite the rumor that redheads, who make up only 4 percent of the world's population, will soon be an endangered species, they aren't going anywhere. While the recessive gene may become more rare, genetics experts say our fiery friends are far from being extinct. Phew.
