Im having a baby with a woman who already has one.

Hi Guys. Im very happy to hear I am having a baby. I was scared at first but i like the idea of being a father. However there are issues. She has a baby with a man she was dating for 5 and a half years. Her kid is 2 years old and they splitup in April! not long ago. she is 5 weeks pregnant. She hasnt told her babys father yet! me and her have been dating since June. So not ling at all. I really like her and I am man enough to support her through pregnancy and beyond.

Here are some ideas i have had. Do I arrange to meet her babys dad for a talk, just to say that we need to get along as his girl and my child will be step siblings? show him im a decent guy. her and him arnt on very good terms. Do I talk to her about moving in together when the baby is born etc? Im also kind of worried that her abf her first babys father reunite and my child isnt treated equally. can anyone help me?? cos they arnt broken up long. she says she is over him! but i suppose I wont know!

It certainly sounds like she is over him if she's allowed herself to become pregnant by you. I wouldn't push a meeting with her ex - let it come about naturally. It's up to her to tell him about the baby - if and when she wants to. I'd say leave it until she's past the 12 week stage and you know the pregnancy is safe. It's possible to miscarry before then.

As for moving in together, that's something you need to discuss together later. Get used to the idea of being parents first, and get to know each other better. Your relationship is still new, so just give it time to grow.
