So, I have known this guy for about 4-5 years. We were attracted to each other when we first met, but he was really close friends with my cousin who is notoriously a bit of a jerk. He was afraid that if things didn't work out with us that my cousin would give him a hard time about it. Over the last 2 years we have talked a little bit, but it seems like it's never the right time for one of us. Last week, I messaged him on facebook and he gave me his number telling me to text him. When we texted he brought up hanging out, but I was out of town and he told me to text him when I got back. He texted me last night, but my phone was dead and I didn't get until this morning. I texted him asking what his plans were for tomorrow, and I never got a response but he was still online. I texted him like 6 hours after saying "Heyy" and still got no response.
I think you wait for some time for his reply. And sometimes its happens that when you are not use some application in your mobile like What's app Facebook messenger, etc, when you are off line but because of some problem that application show as on-line. So may be possible there was some kind of problem that's why he is still not replying you. Wait for some time otherwise make call and confirm that why he is doing this.
Confidence is good but try not to be pushy, he is a guy after all and guys love the chase, let him be the chaser, guys love the challenge towards something they like because when they get it, it becomes like a huge success or a reward and they cherish you as a diamond. Next time let him be the one to ask you out and I know you like him you will be tempered to do something when you see him responding slow in things. Be patient if he truly like or loves you he will do something and he wont give up until he gets you on his side.
