I seriously cannot figure out if I am in the friend zone with my long time best friend. There are many reasons as to why I have questions. I just need HELP. First I will say that we have been friends for about 5 years and last year things started to change. This guy does have a girlfriend but being his best friend he does tell me a lot and he does not seem to be happy with her. The things that he does are not normal friend behavior... He calls me all the time and our conversations can last anywhere from 5 mins to 3 hours. We do go out and hang out with just the two of us or sometimes with a group. He went on vacation with me and my family and didn't talk to his girlfriend at all. We play fight and he always tries to find ways to tickle me or fool around. Most of the time he is the one calling me and just talks and talks. His family loves me and is not so crazy about his girlfriend. Those are the main things. Our friends also ask what is going and if we are going to date. He always says that he is never the one to make the first move so I finally came out and told him this weekend. I said I fell for you and he looks at me a smiles and say "I already knew that" and then I say "then why did you make me tell you"? Then he goes on to say "because it's funny." That's all that I got out of him and part of me thinks it's good that he didn't have a reaction but I am more confused than I was before. Someone help me and give me some input on what I should do. I would really appreciate any advice at this point!
