Hi everyone. I have been dating my boyfriend for a year now. We are in a long distance relationship and I did a horrible thing and looked through his cell phone. I saw that he has been texting an ex (a girl he met online who lives in another country and has a 2 year old son from some other guy). I confronted him about this when he openly told me that he had Skyped with her one day. I told him it bothered me that he was still in touch with her and Skyping with her. Then I saw that he has been saying hello to her on Facebook, but she hasn't been responding. She isn't writing back, but he occasionally writes "hi." That is all. He says "hi" and she never writes back.

He even txted her "hi" 7 days ago and she never responded. Why would he want to keep saying "hi" to someone who never writes back? I don't get it. I don't get his need to be in touch with her either. Should I confront him and let him know that I know he is trying to reach out to her? I am so confused.
