Dating isn't always easy, and neither is building a relationship. So, women often stay in relationships that are not quite right, believing the rough spots will smooth themselves out. After all, no relationship is perfect so you have to expect some problems, right?

1. There's nothing to say. So, you're dating this guy, and the sexual chemistry is amazing, but beyond that, you have no conversation at all. You don't share any common interests and you stare at the walls when you spend time together.
When your mother or grandmother told you to "marry your best friend," they were right. Sex is very important for a healthy relationship. However, in real life, things like illness and age can cause sex to take a back seat. So, for the sake of the long haul, it is important to have a partner you love to talk to.
2. You're walking on eggshells. Long-term relationships should be comfortable for both parties. A couple should feel like they are at home, in a safe haven when they are together. While every couple can experience a touchy subject or two if you are constantly watching what you say or do for fear it will make your new sweetie angry or hurt his feelings, look ahead five or 10 years into the future. Is this really what you want?
